Electric Fence Wire Winder – About Us

Thank you for visiting our website to learn more about our electric fence wire winders – The Wire Tornado and the Wire Twister.

There are several reasons why some people like to do business with certain folks. Maybe they both go to the same gym or share the same hobby. Maybe they happen to be from the same home state, or they enjoy cheering for the same football team. I have noticed another reason – people who grew up on a rural farm or ranch can really connect with other farmers and ranchers.

I may not have grown up on a farm, but I did grow up in rural Nebraska and not far from the land my great-grandparents homesteaded. Since my father owned and operated a construction company, I learned how to pour concrete, build houses, and work on equipment.

Most of the work seemed to be after school and during the summer. Nothing would bring on a good sweat more than shoveling dirt for basement footings or helping my uncles put up fence.

What I remember as being the toughest jobs were the never-ending building and tearing out of fences. Fencing required going up and down hills, through creeks, and around trees.

Over the years, I have listened to family and friends complain about needing something better to wind up their electric fence wire. That’s what inspired me to design and manufacture the Wire Tornado electric fence wire winder.

There’s a lot of work involved in farming and ranching, which no one would deny. But due to the limited manpower to operate these farms and ranches, I developed the Wire Tornado to minimize your time and effort.

Since growing up in rural Nebraska, I served in the U.S. Army, obtained a college degree in Non-destructive Testing, became a certified Welding Inspector, and a plant manager. I still live in rural Nebraska near my great-grandfather’s homestead.

Working in the hot sun with deer flies and barbed wire separated the men from the boys. I have come to believe that if a person can work 60 hours a week in the hot sun on a fence line, then there isn’t much else he can’t do in life if he puts his mind to it.

I hope you try the Wire Tornado or the Wire Twister. I am confident that they will simplify your electric fencing work and make this task a little more tolerable.

In addition, if you have any suggestions to improve any farm or ranch equipment, I encourage you to share them with me so we can try to improve the tools we use and need daily to make our farm and ranch lives more productive.
